Inclusion in Index Used as
International Real Estate Investment Benchmark

Sekisui House, Ltd. hereby announces that the company will be included in FTSE Russell’s FTSE EPRA Nareit Global Real Estate Index Series (“the Index”) from September 19, 2022. Sekisui House has already been included in three FTSE indexes, and this announcement marks its inclusion in a fourth FTSE index.

The Index is an international real estate investment index developed by FTSE Russell with the cooperation of the European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA) and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT, USA). It has been adopted as a benchmark for international real estate investment by many institutional investors both in Japan and overseas.

The Index is comprised of companies that handle high-quality real estate assets and that have a strong sustainability focus to their developments, and Sekisui House believes that inclusion in the Index will help to broaden its investor base and increase the liquidity of its stock. Based on its global vision to “make home the happiest place in the world”, the company will continue to endeavor to further improve its corporate value through its business activities.
