Sommers Bend, the First SHAWOOD Community in the U.S., Wins Four Gold Awards at The Nationals 2025, North America’s Largest Awards Program

Sekisui House announces its first SHAWOOD community in the United States, “Sommers Bend”, has won Gold Awards in four categories at The Nationals 2025, a nationwide awards program presented by the National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC), a council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Each category recognizes only one winner with the highest honor, the Gold Award.

Since sales began in January 2024, SHAWOOD homes in Sommers Bend have been selling at a pace exceeding initial expectations. As of February 16, 2025, 37 out of 57 available lots have already been sold, including homes featuring the “Yuri” and “Kiri” floor plans, which received this prestigious award. Buyers have particularly praised SHAWOOD’s unique structural system, recognizing not only its exceptional earthquake resistance and durability but also its high-quality craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal, made possible by its high-precision design and construction.

Following the success of Sommers Bend, “Arcadia”, a new 40-lot SHAWOOD community in Summerlin, Las Vegas, officially opened on February 15, 2025. Unique SHAWOOD features such as “KOKAGE LOUNGE”* have been met with enthusiastic acclaim. On the opening day alone, over 200 customers visited the site, and all initial sales units have already been reserved.
